David Lynch created the David Lynch Music Company four years ago to use as a platform to pursue his musical ambitions. Now, the filmmaker who earned a cult following with eccentric films like “Blue Velvet”, “Mulholland Dr.” and the ’90s television series “Twin Peaks,” is debuting an album this November called “Crazy Clown Time,” featuring 14 songs written, produced, and performed by him.
The album will showcase his guitar and vocal skills, with guest vocals like Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs in the first track, “Pinky’s Dream” and guitarist-drummer Dean Hurley on “Crazy Clown Time,”
“The love of experimenting with sound and music is what’s driving this boat,” Lynch said in a statement about the album. “All of the songs on the album started as a jam. The jams eventually found a form and lyrics appeared.”
“Crazy Clown Time” is expected to be released this Nov. 8.
